COVID-19 and sexual reproductive health service utilisation among women of reproductive age in Zambia

Zambia has made improvements in addressing maternal and child health the past two decades. The COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, which could put a strain on healthcare systems alter how access to sexual reproductive services is provided, could, however, have negative impact gains. Data from recent nationally representative survey, conducted April 2021, was used examine utilisation of antenatal care among pregnant women during Zambia. Overall, 10 per cent (95% CI: 8.0–11.4) missed period, signifying an increase when compared time before outbreak COVID-19. Age woman level education were associated with risk missing services. study highlights need improve communication availability stimulate demand use this period.
